Responsibilities
This role involves deploying high-nutrition, soil-free farming systems to ensure food security in diverse environments. You’ll collaborate with schools, health centers, and cooperatives to provide fresh produce throughout the year. A strong focus will be placed on community education around the benefits of fresh, locally grown food, as well as collecting yield data to fine-tune system performance and maximize community nutrition.
Requirements
- Background in nutrition, food systems, or sustainable agriculture
- Ability to explain health and nutrition benefits of local farming
- Experience working with food-focused NGOs, community kitchens, or urban farming projects
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Passion for addressing food deserts and nutritional inequality
